3RD CAV (Canadian Army Veterans) LIRI VALLEY UNIT
Liri Valley Unit was previously located in Wainwright, AB. However, when I approached 3rd CAV and National for permission to start up a new unit in the Fraser Valley, Liri Valley was offered as the Unit name. Our prospective members accepted the name and our first meeting was held in Vedder Crossing on the 12th Dec, 2011.
The members of Liri Unit would like to inform all our brothers and sisters that we will be ready for the upcoming riding season and hope to meet as many of you as we can. Also we want to support as many of your rides as we can and of course we will be canvassing your support for our adventures.
The present members of Liri Valley should not be all that new to some as we are mostly transfers from Ubique Unit. President is Rick MacLeod (Lionheart), SAA is Les Rever (Spinner), Road Captain is Dean Dyck (Slow Ride), Old Guard, Don Whittaker (Big Bad Don), Kevin Richmond (Splatt) Veteran Rider, Colin Stewart (Skylark) Veteran Rider, Forest Brooks (Brooksy) , Veteran Rider, Bonnie Whittaker (Bon Bon) Supporter and our newest members, Maureen Kormendry (Ma), Silver Cross Mom and Veteran Rider, Robert (Bob) Knapp (Puppy), Kim (Lioness) MacLeod, Veteran .
Looking forward to a great riding season. We will have representation at the CAV gathering in August.
